Walter R. Davis, Jr.

The Walter R. Davis III Scholarship Endowment Fund was established through a bequest in 1984. Walter R. Davis Jr. 34C received the Emory Medal in 1960. He was a longtime director of the Emory Alumni Association and earned the nickname “Mr. Emory” for his knowledge of Emory traditions and ability to meet and endear just about anyone. Walter Jr. left this scholarship in his will in honor of his son, Walter R. Davis III.
