Judge William C. Educated at Emory University, Judge O’Kelley earned his B.A. in 1951 and his L.L.B. from Emory University School of Law in 1953. After serving in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957, he continued his legal career in private practice and as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. His exceptional legal acumen and commitment to justice led to his appointment as a United States district judge by President Richard Nixon in 1970.

During his tenure, Judge O’Kelley presided over several notable cases, demonstrating his dedication to upholding the law and safeguarding justice. Inspired by his unwavering commitment to justice, D’Antignac helped lead the efforts to establish the Judge William C. O’Kelley Endowed Scholarship Fund at Emory University.
