Evan and Karen Schwalbe

Evan and Karen Schwalbe established the Schwalbe Family Scholarship in 2017. Evan graduated from Emory in 1996 and recalls that as a student, he learned to think, read, and write at a deeper level. His professors were always supportive and encouraging. A combination of improved academic skill and greater confidence, fostered Evan’s willingness to take on increasingly complex tasks, which has been the source of his motivation to establish an endowed scholarship. Evan hopes that another student will also benefit from the experiences he had at Emory, graduating with the sense that no challenge is too great. Evan has a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology, from Long Island University – Brooklyn and is a board certified neuropsychologist with a private practice in NYC.
