David A. Giannotti
David A. Giannotti is a highly accomplished Senior Counsel at Early Sullivan Wright Gizer & McRae LLP, specializing in environmental law. With over 35 years of experience in the field, he has established himself as a prominent attorney representing clients both domestically and internationally. His expertise spans a wide range of environmental matters, including due diligence, compliance, remedy implementation, risk assessment, and litigation.
Throughout his distinguished career, Giannotti has provided legal representation for various esteemed businesses, including Chevron, The Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company/Michelin Tire Corporation, and California Steel Industries. His extensive experience includes serving as in-house counsel to Occidental Petroleum Corporation and its Board of Directors’ Environmental Committee, where he played a pivotal role in addressing environmental issues.
A member of various industry and bar association committees, Giannotti actively engages in writing and lecturing on environmental topics. Giannotti’s profound knowledge and expertise in Superfund matters have enabled him to represent clients at multiple sites throughout the United States. For instance, he has served as Common Counsel to a group of over 130 companies at a Los Angeles Superfund site since 1986, successfully negotiating the largest partial settlements in EPA’s Superfund program to date, totaling more than $650 million.
