Catherine and Michael Gildenhorn

Catherine 81L and Michael Gildenhorn P18 established the Zacks Gildenhorn Leadership Scholarship in 2016. The scholarship was inspired by Catherine’s late father, Gordon Zacks. Gordon was an accomplished business and civic leader, who after a terminal diagnosis, wrote a book in less than a month about what it was like to keep motivated and purposeful at the end of life…and, above all, to stay loving, living and vital. Michael and Catherine are active members of the Parent Leadership Board at Emory University. Michael graduated from Duke with a Bachelor’s in Economics and received his JD from George Washington University. He is currently Managing Director at Chevy Chase Trust. Catherine received a Bachelor’s in Political Science from University of Michigan and a JD from Emory University. She is an active philanthropist in the Bethesda, MD area.
